So as to recap last season; Anya's father gave her up when her mother died whilst giving birth to her. Vladimir (her father) saw it as a chance to get his only daughter away from his life of a brotherhood of crime and the pre-made decision for her to marry a street kid and future Pakhan of the Russian Bratva, Gabriel. Anya grows up bitter in an orphanage and soon meets Alexander once she gets out into the real world on her own. Alexander's father was a Hollywood big shot who cause trouble whenever he visited his son and wife. Alexander went to therapy where he met Cassandra, who's parents were murdered by an extortionist; Gabriel. Alexander fell in love with Cassandra only to realize she didn't feel the same. Now as Anya's manager, he managed to bring up the ultimate award winning actress. Anya isn't very happy but she is successful. She finally gets a taste of love when she meets Gabriel. Gabriel was hiding out in Bridgeport when he witnessed Caleb leave a bar with Anya Rosandria. He does not know they are brother and sister. Ivan, Vladimir's father, Pakhan, learns of his son's betrayal and propositions Gabriel with a new job: turn the actress into a sex slave.
